About Me

I am the momma of two wonderful teenagers, Nicolas and Alex. Nicolas is on the autism spectrum. When Nicolas was diagnosed, I left my career as a labour and an employment lawyer to take care of my son: researching and learning everything about autism, trying to find the best therapies for early intervention and then homeschooling him, fighting for his rights before the health and education ministres, etc., etc…..All the while, this momma lost her identity.

Running gave me back my life. I started running in the summer of 2009. Although I was relatively in shape because I did Pilates’ tapes in the little spare time I had, I had 0 aerobic endurance: could not run for more than 2 minutes without losing my breath ! 3 months after I started running, I ran my first 5K. Crossing the finish line of that first 5K would change my life forever. And I haven’t looked back. I’ve run countless half-marathons, 21 marathons and will be completing the six Abbott World Marathon Majors next April 15 as I run the Boston Marathon, for which I qualified last year. Having discovered a passion and love for outdoor cycling, I also plan on continuing to train and competing in triathlons, including ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant and Ironman Maine in 2019. The Chicago Marathon 2019 will be next and of course more destination marathons are on the horizon…AND a full Ironman and an Ultra-marathon someday too !

My wish is that my fitness journey will inspire YOU to get active and be the best person you can be.
